This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and share when you visit www.wegodrop.com or use the wego DROP mobile application.

Personal Information we collect

We automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you made a vehicle booking or download and use the App, we may collect certain information from you, including you name, gender, address, email address and phone number. We refer to this information as “Registration Information”. In addition, we may collect credit card information via our online booking platform or the “App”, should you provide it. When you make a booking through the Site or the App, we may collect information relating to your geographical location, pick-up destination, drop-off destination, passengers, time of booking, method of payment and other kinds of information you are asked to configure or specify in connection with your use of the Site or the App. We refer to this information as “Booking Information”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Device Information, Registration Information and Booking Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Registration Information and Booking Information that we collect generally to fulfill any bookings place through the Site or the App (including processing your payment information, arranging for bookings and providing you with invoices and/or booking confirmations and updates). Additionally, we use the Registration Information and Booking Information to:

  • Communicate with you (such as to provide you with booking and arrival confirmations and trip receipts)
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services, such as promotional discounts or vouchers.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share the Personal Information we collect:

  1. With our employees, contractors and agents engaged in the provision of services to you. For example, as a passenger requesting a booking, we may share your name, average rider rating given to the drivers, telephone number and pickup and/or dropoff locations with drivers.
  2. With other people at your request. For example, we may share your ETA and location with a friend at your request.
  3. With our owner of an account that you may use. If you use a profile associated with another party we may share your trip information with the owner of that profile. This occurs, for example, if you are a passenger using a corporate or business account, or if you are a passenger who takes a trip arranged by a friend.
  4. With our service providers and business partners. We may provide information to our vendors, consultants, marketing partners and other service providers or business partners. This may include, for example
    • Technology infrastructure and mobile application providers responsible for the design, maintenance, configuration and functioning of the Site or the App.
    • Payment processors and facilitators.
    • Cloud storage providers.
    • Marketing partners and marketing platform providers, such as with respect to email address, consent and anti-spam management.
    • Data analytics providers
    • Research partners.
    • Vendors that assist us to enhance the safety and security of our apps
    • Consultants, lawyers, accountants and other professional service providers
    • Fleet partners
    • Insurance and financing partners
  5. For legal reasons in the event of a dispute. We may share your information if we believe applicable law, regulation, operating agreement, legal process or government request, or where the disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to safety or similar concerns requires it. This includes sharing your information with law enforcement officials, government authorities, airports (if required by the airport authorities as a condition of operating on airport property), or other third parties as necessary to enforce our terms and conditions, user agreements, or other policies, to protect our rights or property or the rights, safety or property of others, or in the event of a claim or dispute relating to your use of our services. If you use another person’s credit card, we may be required by law to share information with that credit card holder, including trip information.
  6. With potential buyers or business partners. We may share your information with others in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.
  7. With your consent. We may share your information other than as described in this policy if we notify you and you consent to sharing.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a UK or European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are UK or European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of the UK or Europe.

DATA RETENTION

When you place a registration or booking through the Site or the App, we will maintain your Registration Information or your transaction information, as applicable, for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
